Back in 1976, counselling showed me what was barely known then - low self esteem is at the root of much personal distress and many couple and other relationship problems.
So I began to devise the 12 practical, cognitive-based, definite Self Acceptance skills to eliminate low self esteem and problems such as:- stress and tension, nervousness and shyness, insecurity, depression and anxiety, anger and jealousy, hurt and guilt, worthlessness and suicide, bitterness in separation.
Evidence shows that these Self Acceptance skills do rule out low self esteem with its unfortunate consequences. They can rule out worrying consequences such as -
These twelve easy steps for fundamental Self Acceptance all work together and reinforce one another. They are self reliant and self empowering. They are comprehensive, so extra skills are not needed. For instance, 'goal setting' is not part of this program because Self Acceptance makes you clearly aware of your own goals and what you want to do about them.
These practical 'I can do this' skills appeal to men and to women. Teenagers take to the commonsense logic at once. Teach your children the basic skills right from birth. Show them the simple skills to preclude the miserable effects of low self esteem.
